With the detail design conducted in WPs 2 and 6, an enhanced risk assessment model developed in T7.1 will be applied to evaluate the risk levels of the demonstrators and desktop studies of the overall ammonia systems on-board and ports.
Hazard and Operability Analysis (HAZOP) and Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) will be applied to identify potential hazards in the proposed systems and operability problems and evaluate system reliabilities. For risks under high risks, Risk Control Options (RCOs) and Cost-Benefit Assessment (CBA) will be conducted to determine the optimal design solutions while mitigating critical risks to acceptable levels. Finally, assessment results /safety recommendations are fed into confirmation of detail designs (in WPs3-4).
