Following the detailed design of the demonstrator vessel and the findings that resulted from the Risk and Safety assessments performed during the latest WP7 Workshops, the concept design of the ammonia storage technology onboard 5 different desktop studies is being developed. These designs follow the basic principles covered thoroughly for the tank storage systems of the demonstrator, made both from metallic and composite materials. The level of the basic engineering and all relevant calculations and assessments of the pre-FFED is progressing up to the point of reaching the AiP stage by the participating Classification Society.
