In order to improve safety during the design stage, this task proposes conducting a Hazard Identification (HAZID) study to identify and evaluate potential hazards early on. The results of the study will be used to provide feedback to the design procedures and improve safety controls. The study will assess key hazardous categories including external hazards, facility hazards, and health hazards. These results will be reflected in the conceptual designs for safety enhancement and control, and will be further integrated into the detail design process. The assessment results and safety recommendations will be used to confirm or revise the optimal conceptual designs created in WP2.
