The focus of task 3.4 is directed towards the engineering work required for implementing the modularity characteristics related to the design of the tank storage system. The ultimate goal is to achieve realistic and tailored scalability of the solution, with regard to both new shipbuilding and retrofitting projects, without being limited to the size or the type of the vessel of the demonstrator study. Based on different selected cases, several issues will be assessed; such as design principles, key workflow parameters and limitations deriving from the specific characteristics of the installation location (on deck or inside the hull).
