HAZID WORKSHOP(T7.2) – 14th-16th February 2023

RINA-C has organized a workshop for the HAZID study (T7.2). A HAZID analysis has been carried out for the NH3CRAFT Project by in videoconference on CW7: 14th-16th February 2023, by a team of specialists. The HAZID team consisted of the following partners:

At the beginning of the session the HAZID Team agreed to discuss the hazards for the demonstrator vessel in detail, since several hazards are also applicable for the desktop studies and agreed to discuss at a high level all the desktop studies developed highlighting all possible safety issue for each solution.  

“The main objective of the HAZID technique was to identify all potential causes of safety and environmental hazards arising from layout, process, materials, Project philosophies, operational concepts and external events to permit prevention and, if not possible, mitigation methods to be implemented into the design to ensure the perceived risks are tolerable.

Findings and Results of the Analysis are reported in HAZID Worksheets, where the details of the discussions are given, including the issues and hazards identified, the analysis of the problems, the recommendations and – for each issue – the Severity, Likelihood and Risk Ranking.”
