The purpose of the task T4.1 is to enable the concept engineering design process for the Demonstrator auxiliary systems related to the usage of ammonia as fuel. More specifically, based on the storage technologies developed in the previous work packages and the demonstrator vessel’s operational needs, the following main categories will be examined and analyzed with respect to this specific task:
Single line process and instrumentation diagrams
- (P&IDs)
- Safety systems
- Electrical systems
- Port side bunkering facilities and methods
The above listed main categories, which will include a series of specific vessel’s drawings, will be developed accordingly based on existing guidelines from the participating Classification Societies and regulations. The methodology and processes followed for the basic layout arrangements and the principal engineering calculations will be an important and integral part of this specific task.
