This task(2.3) will present the concept design of the demonstrator. A basic engineering and safety/risk assessment will be performed to define a preliminary layout of the demonstrator. The different type, geometry, capacity, and materials (steel and composite) for the ammonia storage tanks will be selected for the demonstrator, following the findings of the desktop studies.
The task will deliver:
- An initial layout with feasible locations of the ammonia storage tank
- A list of components to be supplied by technology providers
- The estimation of the modifications required for the integration of the tank storage and auxiliary systems, including the bunkering and fuel handling systems
- An indicative estimation of the added weights
- An initial safety/risk assessment considering probability and consequence levels
- A risk register, which will be updated throughout the duration of the project
This task will be the input for the majority of the project WPs, related with the engineering design of the tank storage and auxiliary systems as well as the assembly of the installation, the digital integration, and safety and risk assessment.
