In this task 7.1 the work will start with a thorough analysis of existing, upcoming, and future international and EU legislation and policies addressing the potential risks of ammonia as marine fuel for extensive applications regarding its storage capacity and actual range of application. By understanding existing risk assessment techniques, approaches, and safety assessment practices and their gaps, this task will develop an optimal risk assessment framework and models specifically for the demonstrators and the desktop studies developed in WP3 and WP4. Both qualitative and quantitative risk assessment methods will be applied in accordance with hazard types and their significance.
