ABS has drafted a report which reviews the existing regulatory landscape, and based on the risk studies undertaken throughout the NH3CRAFT project, identifies the key regulatory challenges and gaps for adopting NH3 as fuel. The report includes a top-level review of the regulatory framework, describes the NH3 system, presents Strategic Directions for rule and regulatory development, and presents gap analysis results based on key system functions and lessons from the key risk assessment studies. Through the analysis undertaken it is concluded that strengthening the existing regulatory framework may strategically shape the way forward.
